Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of dishcal.com and the DishCal application, operated by MediPaid Technologies Inc. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use DishCal.

2. DishCal is not medical care

This is the most important term in this document.

• DishCal provides health-management information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified healthcare professional.
• Calorie and nutrient targets are estimates from a standard formula (Mifflin-St Jeor) adjusted for the conditions you select. They are not a clinical prescription and have not been individually reviewed for you.
• Nutrition figures for logged meals are AI-generated approximations, not measurements. Treat them as estimates and correct them where you know better.
• Medication reminders are a convenience feature. They are not a clinical safety system and will not alert you when the application is closed. Do not rely on DishCal as your only means of remembering medication.
• Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in DishCal. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to hold a DishCal account and have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. You may create additional profiles for a child or other dependant in your legal care, in which case you are responsible for their information and for consenting on their behalf.

A limitation you should know about: DishCal’s nutrient targets are calculated with formulas validated for adults. For any profile under 18, DishCal shows an energy estimate but withholds per-condition nutrient targets, because adult thresholds do not translate to children. Obtain paediatric targets from a paediatrician or paediatric dietitian.

4. Your account

• Provide accurate information. Inaccurate height, weight, age or conditions will produce inaccurate targets.
• Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly at support@medipaid.tech if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One account per person. Do not share an account.

5. Free trial and subscription

• New accounts receive a 3-day free trial with full access. No payment method is required to start.
• After the trial, AI features — photo, description and barcode analysis — require an active subscription at US$20 per month.
• Manual meal entry, your full meal history, your targets, and medication reminders remain free whether or not you subscribe. We do not lock you out of health data you already recorded.
• Billing is in US dollars and is processed by PayPal. Local-currency billing is not yet available; if you are outside the United States your bank may apply a conversion charge.
• Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel at any time through PayPal or by contacting us.
• We may change pricing on 30 days’ notice. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
• We rate-limit AI analysis per account to protect the service from runaway or automated use.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use DishCal for anyone other than yourself or a dependant in your legal care.
• Attempt to bypass the subscription, access another user’s data, or probe, scan or test the security of the service.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product from our content or data.
• Submit unlawful content, or images of anyone who has not consented.
• Use DishCal to make treatment decisions for a patient in a professional capacity. It is not a clinical decision-support system and is not certified as one.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you submit — photographs, descriptions and health information. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service for you: to process your meal submissions, store your records, and produce the outputs you request. We claim no other rights, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

8. Our content

DishCal’s software, design, food database and condition logic are owned by MediPaid Technologies Inc. and protected by intellectual property law. You may use them only through the service as intended.

9. Availability

We aim to keep DishCal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give reasonable notice and a means to export your data.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DishCal is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that nutritional estimates will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to DishCal is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any statutory rights you hold as a consumer that cannot be waived. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using DishCal and request deletion at any time by writing to dpo@medipaid.tech. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, and will tell you why unless prohibited from doing so.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, where MediPaid Technologies Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, and does not waive any non-waivable right or remedy available to you locally, including any statutory right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms and will update the date above. Material changes will be notified by email or a prominent notice before they take effect. Continuing to use DishCal after that constitutes acceptance.
